How accessible is the website?
This website is partially accessible. Digital accessibility was assessed using the Eye-Able technology from Web Inclusion GmbH.
Which areas are not accessible?
- Incomplete HTML structure: for example, heading elements are not used consistently, or form fields are not correctly linked to their label elements.
- Images without alternative text: on some pages there are images without a description. This makes navigating to those images with a screen reader more difficult.
- Links without link text: there are links without link text on all pages.
- Links not identifiable: on some pages, links cannot be distinguished from the surrounding text.
- Contrast between text and background: on several pages the contrast between text and background is too low.
- Controls without alternative text: alternative text is not shown where the text area is too small.
- Audio files without alternatives: alternatives for audio files and silent videos convey only a small part of the content.
- Videos without subtitles: videos with sound do not have the necessary subtitles.
- Videos without audio description and/or full-text alternative: videos containing image-heavy passages need an alternative to the image, because the sound alone is not enough to understand them fully.
- PDF documents that are not accessible: these documents often have a missing semantic structure, tables that are not accessible, or inadequate alternative text.
- Words and passages in other languages are not always marked up: English words are not always marked up with the “lang” attribute.
We are planning to remove these known shortcomings. As soon as the work is complete, we will publish it on this page.
